1979 Vintage Ruger New Model Blackhawk in .30 Carbine Caliber w/ 7.5" Inch Barrel
** Nice Very Lightly Used Gun **
Description:
This is a very nice lightly-used Ruger New Model Blackhawk in .30 Carbine caliber with a 7.5" inch barrel. Manufactured in 1979, this Ruger has apparently been used very little and is in perfect working order. The factory gloss-blue finish on all of the metal parts is still bright and clean, and would rate near 98 to 99% if not for two spots where the gun incurred some "safe rash". These two spots are the butt of the grip frame and the underside of the barrel and ejector housing, about halfway to the muzzle. There are close-up pictures provided of these two spots. As you can see from the remainder of the pictures provided, the rest of the gun is in excellent condition including all of the screw heads which appear to be unturned. The factory Walnut grips are in great shape overall. They show only some very light handling/storage marks and are free from any cracks or repairs. Both of the black Ruger eagle medallions are intact and in great shape, and both the left and right grip panels are nice and tight to the gun. The bore in this Blackhawk is pristine, with sharp lands and grooves in the rifling and no visible pitting or imperfections. The cylinder bores are equally as clean, with all 6 chambers in perfect condition. The forcing cone on this gun is clean and free from any build-up, and the cylinder face is just as clean. Everything on this New Model Blackhawk is in perfect working order from the adjustable rear sight to the action itself, which is smooth, precise, and perfectly "in time". This New Model Blackhawk coems with an original factory box, warranty card, and Ruger brochure, however the box does not have any end-label or serial number on it so we have no way of knowing if it is original to the gun. If you have been looking for a .30 Carbine Blackhawk for your collection that you can shoot at the farm or range, this 1979 model would be a great choice. This gun is certainly still clean enough to show off and be proud of, while not being so perfect that you would feel bad shooting it.
