RUGER 1963 single six 3 screw .22 LR/.22 WMR
Description: Guns Listing ID: 399198 The Ruger Single Six revolvers are elegant six-cylinder stainless steel pieces of work imbued with classic styling and modern manufacturing for affordable rimfire ammo. The Single Sixes have been in production since 1953. Twenty years later, Ruger started production of New Model Single Six revolvers. The New Model rubric indicated implementation of a transfer bar safety that has been on each Single Six ever since. And that’s a lot of guns. A transfer bar safety means the hammer can’t fire the gun unless the trigger is pulled. So even if you drop a loaded revolver, it’s not supposed to fire. But there’s more: a loading gate interlock also helps prevent accidentally firing your gun. There are plenty of Single Six flavors. Most have fixed front ramp sights followed by fully adjustable (for elevation and windage) rear sights. All you need is a simple flat-head screwdriver to adjust. The various Single Six, Single Seven, Single Nine and Single Ten revolvers are typically made of alloy steel and satin blued or stainless steel with wooden grips. There are several groups of Single Six revolvers. They include the Single Six Convertible, Single Seven, Single Nine and Single Ten. The Single Six Convertibles come with two 6-round cylinders: one for 22 LR and one 22 WMR. Ruger seems to cold hammer forge all its barrels, creating tremendous durability and barrel accuracy. Single Sixes are no exception. On the longer end, there are 6.50” barrel models for .22 WMR, Good condition, both cylinders and velvet bag. No box.
