Ruger Single Six Single Action Revolver in 32 H&R Magnum
SALE PENDING
Description: Ruger Single Six Single Action Revolver in 32 H&R Magnum
This is an early Ruger Single Six, six shot revolver in 32 H& R Magnum. It is finished in blue steel and black aluminum and has a 6 1/2" barrel. It has an adjustable rear notched sight and ramped blade front sight. It is equipped with walnut grips with the standard Ruger eagle medallion.
Condition:
The Ruger Single Six is in excellent condition overall. This is Ruger's Model #06503 and referred to Ruger Single Six -SSM which started production in 1984 and ceasing in 2015. Based on the serial number this revolver was made in 1986. The revolver shows some cylinder drag and some edge wear on high surfaces and at the end of the muzzle. Overall, the black anodized gate has turned a blue tone but the frame has kept is original black for the most part. There is a couple of surface scratches at the bottom of the grip probably from being dropped at some point but are not deep. I don’t believe that this revolver has seen much use. This is a very nice discontinued Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R Magnum.
For those not familiar with the .32 H&R Magnum it is a rimmed cartridge specifically designed to use in revolvers. It was developed by a joint effort between Harrington & Richardson and Federal Premium Ammunition and introduced in 1984. The .32 H&R Magnum exceed .38 Special +P loads in both speed and energy. The cartridge was picked up by several manufactures such as Smith & Wesson, Freedom Arms, and Ruger and by Bond Arms in their derringers, to name a few. Hornaday developed a Critical Defense round for this caliber at that time. Certainly more than a 22 long rifle round typical for the Ruger Single Six.
