RUGER NO. 3, SINGLE SHOT RIFLE in .223 REMINGTON, Made in 1978

Description:
Ruger No. 3 Single Shot Rifle made in 1978 chambered for .223 Rem. I bought this rifle from a friend who had shortened the buttstock and added a recoil pad so that his wife could shoot it comfortably. She is about 5'2" tall. She had not shot the rifle for many years so he decided to sell it with her blessing. I had an original #3 buttstock that I had my gunsmith install. If you buy this rifle, I will include the shortened stock if you want. As you can see from the photos, there is a sling swivel stud installed in the forend. 
The rifle is in great shape and is accurate. The bore is bright with sharp riflings. There are Weaver scope bases installed for mounting a scope. The factory open sights have not been removed and are original to the rifle. 
The No.3 uses the same action as the No.1 but with a different lever. It has a tang safety and an adjustable trigger. It has a 22" barrel, but with its compact action, the rifle measures only 39" long. They were only made from 1973 to 1986 and then discontinued. Many custom rifles have been produced on this action.
This one is fun to shoot, having slight recoil and economical ammunition that is available anywhere.

PAYMENT - I can accept money orders, cashier’s checks, bank checks, or personal checks (pending verification of funds).  Payments via USPS & UPS are acceptable. I can also accept Zelle payments.
My FFL dealer (Dixie Gun & Fish) securely packs and ships each firearm, following all firearms laws, and will include a signed copy of their FFL with each firearm shipped. No private sales on firearms!

SAFETY WARNING- Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered may or may not have been test fired, and some have been only visually inspected. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. The buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise.

RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions.
Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational  Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer.   The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period.  The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges.  On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller.  Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued.  Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s).  The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc.  The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer.  This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled.  Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited.  GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing. Any modification of the 3 day return policy must be in writing by both buyer and seller.
