This Smith & Wesson 19-3 is a Texas Ranger 150th year Commemorative Revolver set with serial number matching Bowie knife. The pistol is chambered for the .357 Magnum with a 4” pinned heavy barrel that is in excellent condition along with the bore. The finish is in very good condition with the exception of some light turn marks on the cylinder and the seal on the right side of frame has minor color loss. Mounted to the barrel is a blade front sight with a red insert and the rear is an adjustable white notched box sight. The target hammer and smooth target trigger are both color case hardened. Mounted to the frame is a set of smooth Goncalo Alves target grips with the Texas star. This firearm is in very good to excellent condition. The overall length is 9-3/8”, Weight is 2.1 lbs.
This pistol also comes with a serial number matching Bowie knife that has a 5 3/4” clip point blade with unsharpened false edge complete with a brass hand guard and pommel. The wood on the handle is wood Micarta with the Texas seal inlayed. Both the revolver and bowie knife are housed in the original blue velvet lined engraved wooden Walnut presentation case and key.
This Model 19 is a limited, 1 of 10,000 run Smith & Wesson 19-3 Texas Ranger Commemorative. Only 8,000 were sold as a set that include the Bowie knife and ornate presentation case. This set is number 5,XX5.
