Antique SMITH & WESSON .32 Cal. Double Action 4th Model TOP BREAK Revolver
LATE 1800s Self Defense Revolver!
Description: Antique SMITH & WESSON .32 Cal. Double Action 4th Model TOP BREAK Revolver LATE 1800s Self Defense Revolver! Here we present an antique 4th Model Smith & Wesson .32 Double Action Revolver, made circa the early 1890s in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Smith & Wesson Fourth Models were produced between 1883 and 1909 with a total production of approximately 239,600 examples. As mentioned above, this revolver was chambered for the .32 S&W cartridge and was usually equipped with a 3” or 3-1/2” barrel. They were fitted with a 5-shot fluted cylinder and were either blue finished or nickel plated. They came with a top break design and round butt. The grips were either checkered or floral embossed hard rubber with the S&W monogram. The serial number ranged from 43406 to 282999. This model was quite similar in appearance to the Third Model, except the trigger guard is oval shaped instead of squared back as in the previous models. These were petite and handy little guns that chambered 5 cartridges, perfect for the pocket and enough to get out of most scrapes. With gangsters, and career criminals running rampant, this example would have been the “pocket advantage” a person needed. The overall condition is Excellent. Robust action, tight lock up. Bright bore. Original nickel/blue finish. Both grips are very good and remain firmly seated. Sharp markings. Numbers match. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: .32 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly toyour door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1250 #217814 SOLD Antique: Yes |
