SMITH & WESSON 38/44 HEAVY DUTY 99% SUPER NICE MATCHING MAGNAS ORIGINAL BOX FACTORY LETTER
Description: SUPER NICE ALL ORIGINAL with MATCHING MAGNA GRIPS. Along with the revolver you will receive the original box, factory letter, and original sales receipt. Bore in the 5" barrel is mint. No issues. Action is exactly as it should be. It locks up tight. The matching magna grips are in excellent condition. Checkering is crisp. You can tell this revolver has not been handled much at all. The original blue finish will rate 99%+. You will notice a very faint turn line and just a tiny rub on the right side of the muzzle. Case color on the trigger and especially the hammer is excellent. It is about as good as any I have ever seen. All the numbers are correct and match as they should. Markings are original and easy to see. As you can tell from the pictures, this revolver has seen little action. The original box is excellent. The last paragraph of the factory letter states the following. We have researched your Smith & Wesson 38/44 Heavy Duty Model of 1950 Variation, Five Screw Variation, caliber .38S&W Special, revolver in company records which indicate your handgun, with serial number S105663was shipped from our factory on March 8, 1954 and delivered to Wimberly Thomas Hardware Co., Birmingham, AL.
