Smith & Wesson 1st Model American U.S. Marked Revolver (AH4610)

Description:

Smith & Wesson 1st Model American U.S. Marked Revolver. Made in 1870-1872. This gun is very scarce as only 200 of these were U.S. marked and inspected. Nice sharp gun with a smooth gray to brown patina on metal. Top of barrel has U.S. markings. Left hand side of the gun has all of the A inspectors marks and right hand side of the barrel has all of the P inspectors marks. Grips are very good. We suspect the cartouche has been refreshed. Very nice example of a very rare gun!
