Description: ENGRAVED, NICKEL, MOTHER of PEARL SMITH & WESSON Number 1 ½ .32 REVOLVER Gorgeous Little 1870s Hideout Gun! Here we present an Engraved Antique Smith & Wesson Model Number 1-1/2 .32 Rimfire 2nd Issue Revolver, made circa 1868-1875 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The No. 1 was Smith & Wesson’s first metallic cartridge firearm, and chambered for .22 caliber. The No. 2 came along in a larger format in .32 caliber. The No. 1 ½ bridged the gap between the diminutive No. 1 and the “full-sized” No. 2, making for a concealable pocket pistol in the more powerful .32 caliber. This one features delicate, hand-cut, scroll engraving with a punch-dot background throughout. A nickel finish and solid mother of pearl grips complete this handsome little revolver. The overall condition is near fine. The action is very strong and tight all around. The bore remains semi-bright in good shape. The solid mother of pearl grips are luminescent and in fine shape.
