Original Smith & Wesson Third Model Russian Nickel aka New Model Russian or Model 3 Russian 3rd Model S&W
Description:
Original Smith & Wesson Third Model Russian in fine+ condition. Made in 1874, whole production ran between 1874 and 1878.
Caliber .44 S&W Russian, single action revolver built on a top-break frame with 6-shot flutted cylinder, 6.5" barrel, beautiful ivory grips.
While total production was over 60,000, ONLY 13,500 were made for Commercial Production; the rest were for foreign military contracts.
Its the best (and last one that I have been keeping for years) of this gun type that I had in my collection.
Famous Western lawman Pat Garrett (dispatched "Billy the Kid") believed to have carried this model.
Original nickel finish, all matching (grips are matching inside), not import marked, very good bore, functions fine.
I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection.
3-12 months layaway is available.
I accept bank checks, money orders and personal checks, but due to the POLICY OF MY BANK it takes 5 business days from the day of the deposit for them to clear (personal checks).
Open to trades depending upon what's offered.
