Smith & Wesson Model No.2 In Beautiful Condition

This is an beautiful example of a Smith & Wesson .32-caliber rimfire Model 2. The serial number is 42544 dating the year of production to be approximately 1865? The very nice rosewood grips are original and have matching serial number. Wonderful finish to the metal work, with clean crisp action, above average bore and nicely marked on top of the barrel:

All are 32-caliber rimfire with a six shot non-fluted cylinder. All were manufactured with rosewood grips and blue or nickel-plated finishes. The barrels are marked. The patent date is stamped on the cylinder and the serial number is on the butt. This example has six inch barrel and has matching assembly numbers on the barrel and cylinder. The barrel retains 80% of it's original blue and receiver retains 95% or better of it's original finish. Grips are in excellent condition. The barrel hinge is in excellent working condition and the action locks up tightly, revolver has no wiggle what so ever. This piece functions as if it was made yesterday. All markings are nice and crisp. Evidence of case colors can still be seen on hammer. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a very high condition S&W Model No.2 at an unheard of price.
