Description: The Smith & Wesson No. 1 1/2 represents an important chapter in the evolution of American revolvers, produced during the era when spur trigger designs were popular for pocket carry. Smith & Wesson's innovative approach to cartridge revolvers helped establish the company as a leader in firearms technology during the latter half of the 19th century.
This fine example retains much of its original blue finish and features the classic Birds Head grip configuration with excellent 2-piece rosewood grips. The 5-shot fluted cylinder and 3.5" barrel provide the perfect balance for a pocket revolver of this era. Mechanically fine throughout and functions properly. Housed in a custom case and includes a contemporary box of .32 rimfire cartridges, adding period authenticity to this classic American revolver. An excellent representative of Smith & Wesson's early cartridge revolver craftsmanship.
