Post War Smith & Wesson M&P 38 Spl Revolver 2 Inch Barrel w/ Gold Box

Serial #C161078, .38 Special, 2 inch barrel with an excellent bore. This is the Smith & Wesson M&P model revolver built circa 1948-1951 featuring 5 screw frame square butt K-frame. In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 97-98% of the original blue with a very slight drag line and a hint of wear at the muzzle. The serrated trigger and hammer show vibrant case-colors. The checkered S&W medallion diamond around the screw escutcheon grips have non-matching number and rate very good on the right stock with wear and some flattening of the points with the left on in excellent condition. It comes in an original gold and blue box.
