Manufactured around 1949/50, this S&W pre-model 10 is in excellent condition. Frame and exterior barrel has minor scratches from past use/handling. Only noticiable from close inspection. Front end of barrel has some light fading of bluing. Pinned barrel. 5 screw frame. Cylinder has a thin turn line. Wood grips are not original. Matching serial number on cylinder, underside of barrel and pistol butt. This is a Post war military & police .38 revolver. This model dirrectly succeeded the model of 1905 design. The serial number for this pistol falls within the 1948-1951 range. Perfect for any collector. Own a piece of history. Comes with leather holster.
