Description:
This is a fine example of a Smith & Wesson Model Number Two Army Revolver. Caliber .32 rim fire w/ 6-shot cylinder. 6" octagonal barrel.
Blued finish with case hardened hammer and rosewood grips.
Some light finish pitting on frame and barrel. Heavier pitting on blackstrap. The Model 2 was S&W's largest revolver during the 1860's with many seeing service in the Civil War and use in the American West. The serial number in the 13,000 range...circa 1860-1864
Holster is of the Civil War period, but not fitted for this particular revolver. The barrel length of the holster will accommodate about an 8 to 9-inch barreled gun, The top flap was removed and the belt loop is loose.
