"Serial number M27035. Made circa 1970-1971. Very fine with 95% of the original finish. This gun has been highly customized as part of the trigger guard was removed and the hammer spur was bobbed off. The front sight was also removed. This gun has a fantastic pair of ivory grips with Smith & Wesson Medallions. The name “Fitz Special comes from John Henry Fitgerald who was a Colt exhibition shooter and salesman. He made modifications to early Colt double action pistols by removing part of the trigger guard andd these became known as Fitz Specials. Absolutely fantastic “Fitz Special" Smith & Wesson 34-1!
