Excellent Boxed Smith & Wesson 38 Spl Pre-Model 36 Mfg 1956 Flat Latch

Serial #106919, .38 Special, 2 inch pinned barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 36, revolver manufactured in 1956. The round butt, J frame features the early flat latch and serrated ramp front sight with square notch rear. In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain virtually all, 97-98% of the original blue with a light turn ring and very little other use and handling marks with trigger and hammer showing commensurate amounts of original case-hardened colors. The diamond center checkered walnut stocks rate excellent with tiny blemishes at the forward tip of the bottom grip. It comes in the original blue 2 piece Starburst box in the original paper wrap. An excellent high condition example of these very desirable Pre-Model 36 S&W revolver. FFL or C&R
