Description:
Te Model 48 was developed to take advantage of the new .22 Magnum cartridge. Smith and Wesson chose to name it the MRF to keep the Winchester, in WRF, off their firearms. There was apparently no (felt) need to advertise for the competition. The Model 48-2 has patridge sights, a pinned barrel, and the legendary K-frame trigger. The grips on this show no wear and the diamonds are sharp. The metal has some blue wear that can be characterized as holster wear. YOM: 1971. .22 MRF
