4 Inch S&W Model 57 Revolver with Presentation Case
Description:
Serial #N806846, .41 Magnum, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver was made ca. 1981 and retains practically all of the original blue finish with only some very tiny spots of freckling on the left side of the barrel and a nearly invisible turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder. The target hammer and trigger likewise retain virtually all of the original color case-hardening. The checkered target stocks are in fine shape with hardly any flattening of the points, but they show some sign of heat damage and there is a dark blue spot on the heel of the left panel deposited by the deteriorating foam lining of the case. The revolver is housed in an original S&W wooden presentation case with a the deteriorated blue foam rubber lining that has been cleaned out to leave the inserts. Included with the revolver are: a S&W screwdriver, cleaning rod, bore mop, and bore brush. This is a desirable, short barreled early ‘80s N-frame S&W, and is in fine-excellent condition. FFL
