For consideration is a minty Smith & Wesson Model 60-1 double action revolver in .38 Special caliber. The Smith & Wesson Model 60, the world’s first stainless steel revolver, was a success since its introduction in 1965. Praised by both law enforcement and sportsmen, the Model 60 was a stainless steel version of the Chiefs Special; and began the era of stainless steel handgun production. The Model 60 is the perfect choice for those seeking a small frame, all-steel revolver with greater recoil control and proven performance. It has been popular with law enforcement and citizens alike since its release and is in production to this day. This particular example is in outstanding mechanical and physical condition and appears to have been fired very little if at all. The barrel has a bright bore with strong minty rifling. Grips are free of cracks or chips and have S&W Medallions. Adjustable rear sights are quite unique and the shark fin blade front gives the gun a handsome and striking look. This is #339 of the 660 total. Box and papers are included.
