Description: This Smith & Wesson Model 629-5 Classic is in a scarce barrel length and is in excellent condition overall. This S&W Model 629-5 is chambered in the potent .44 Magnum cartridge and has the scarce 8-3/8ths" factory barrel. This 6-shot DA/SA revolver is constructed of stainless steel, has a target-style hammer and wide smooth target-style trigger, and a red ramp front sight with an adjustable white-outline rear sight. This "Classic" revolver does not have the built-in lock, and has Smith & Wesson-branded Hogue black rubber finger-groove grips from the factory in excellent condition. While this revolver has been fired, it has been well cared for and has spent most of it's life in storage. The bores are clean and bright in both the barrel and the cylinder. with nice strong rifling with sharp lands and grooves. The action is nice and smooth when worked by hand and it is perfectly "in time". At full-lock the cylinder is solid as a rock with no play in it, and the trigger is light and crisp when worked in single-action. Everything on this Smith works 100% like the day it left the factory. If you have been looking for a new addition for your Smith & Wesson or firearms collection, this scarce 8-3/8ths" barrel 629-5 Classic would be a great choice.
