SMITH & WESSON Model 686-5 Ported Revolver 6" Barrel with Box & Papers
Description:
Really nice Smith & Wesson model 686-5 Stainless Steel Revolver, "Safe Queen" with Box & Papers. This one is special because it was special ordered with a 6" Ported Barrel. They used to call these special order revolvers "Power Ports" and they came with unfluted cylinders. I have one in .41 magnum that I shoot often and is not for sale. The port really helps to control muzzle flip, especially when using factory magnum loads. This one was originally purchased in Pennsylvania in October of 1999. I bought it when the original owner retired to Southern Utah where I live. The revolver has seen very little use. The overall finish appears almost new. The bore and forcing cone appear to be perfect. I have not shot this one but the action is smooth and has a crisp trigger in both Single and double action. This one is a 6 shooter. The cylinder shows evidence of a light turn ring that shows up well in the close up photos but is almost unnoticeable when held in the hand. It comes with the original S&W plastic box and papers. Someone has tried to remove the label from the box but all pertinent information is visible. These ported 686s are actually quite rare although they are out there. This one has not been altered in any way other than shooting it and of course has no aftermarket parts. I believe that this one would be an excellent addition to your collection or to your regular shooter rotation. Please check out the photos and contact me with questions.

Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer. The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period. The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s). The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited. GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing.
