Long Barrel Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless Double Action Factory Restored

Serial #202738, .38 S&W, 5 inch round ribbed barrel with a good bore showing light roughness and evident rifling. This is a Smith & Wesson fourth model Safety Hammerless double action that has a Factory rework date of December 1930. The barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 96-98% of a reapplied nickel finish showing scattered light clouding with some oxidation along the rib; the rear sight latch and trigger guard are in remarkably fine condition and retain virtually all of the rich blue, ostensibly factory but potentially a fine period refinish. The checkered hard rubber grips remain excellent and the pinned front sight blade remains intact. The numbered parts are all matching and with slightly softened barrel address and right-side S&W logo. FFL or C&R
