**SOLD** Smith & Wesson .38 Double Action Fourth Model, Top-Break, Cal. .38 S&W **Scarce 5" Barrel**

Description:
The S&W .38 Double Action Fourth Model was made from 1895 to 1909, with 216,300 manufactured.  The 5-shot revolvers were fitted with either a 2, 3 1/4, 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, blue or nickel finished, fitted with S&W monogram checkered black hard rubber grips, square or round butt frame, and chambered in .38 S&W.  This all numbers matching gun is as described and is fitted with a 5" barrel, is blue finished, and built on the round butt frame.  The gun is in excellent mechanical condition, appearing to have been fired very little. The revolver retains approximately 70% of its original finish with the balance showing only honest wear.  The bore is bright and sharp and the action functions perfectly, with a very tight lock-up.  The grips show only a few very minor handling marks.  We see very few S&W Top-Breaks in longer barrel lengths.
