Smith & Wesson model of 1917, .45 hand ejector revolver. An early model made with the “GHS”, Maj. Gilbert H. Stewart stamp on the top left side of the frame. All stampings and inscriptions are sharp and clear, in fact this is a fine example of an original 1917 .45 DA. 90-95% original metal finishes; original/faded varnish on the grips with a number of “dings” on the bottom edge of the grips. As they should be, the inside of the grips is serial numbered to the revolver.
This is a fine example of a 1917 Army in mechanically excellent and cosmetically fine condition.
One note: the lanyard loop is not correct! A nice replacement, but it is a replacement!
