High Condition and instantly recognizable S&W M38 Airweight Revolver with Alloy frame and Shrouded Hammer made 1970/71, C&R Eligible.

Description:

Standard configuration Snub Nose S&W 38 Airweight Revolver with 1 7/8” barrel, serrated ramp front sight and channel/notch rear sight. Left side of barrel marked with the manufacturer while the right side is marked with the model and caliber. S&W logo on left side of alloy frame. Trademark registration/address in Springfield on right side of frame. Full serial number on base of frame with usual reference to Model 38 on inner frame against crane, the latter marked with assembly number 44397. Blued revolver with alloy frame, color case hardened hammer and trigger. Fitted with standard S&W logo grips.

Condition:

EXC+ with 99+% original salt blue and black anodizing, just a few tiny handling marks rather than evidence of use. No cartridge head imprints on the alloy recoil shield. The left grip has a scuff on the rear surface. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A great S&W Snub Nose Airweight Revolver, this variation with the improved/contoured cylinder release latch, made 1970/71!
