This is a VERY NICE Smith and Wesson pre-model 27 5-screw variation double and single action 6-shot N-Frame revolver.
It is chambered in .357 Magnum, has a square-butt, a 5 inch solid rib pinned barrel with a bore that is in excellent condition.
It has has a fluted cylinder, a checkered cylinder release and hammer, and a serrated trigger.
The ejector rod is shrouded. The checkered hammer and serrated trigger are case colored.
Based on the S&W factory letter, this revolver was manufactured 1951.
It was shipped from Smith and Wesson on January 15, 1951 to Kennedy Brothers Arms Co., St. Paul, MN.
The original features the revolver currently has matches the description from 1951.
The action functions perfectly based on visual inspection. The timing and lock up are perfect.
It has a blue finish that is in FANTASTIC condition! The top of the rib and the top strap are checkered.
The yoke cut and yoke are marked "2511".
The butt of the frame, rear of the cylinder, and the ejector rod cut are all marked with the matching serial number "S80755".
It has a fixed serrated ramp blade front sight and a fully adjustable serrated square-notch rear sight.
It has 2-piece diamond checkered walnut grips that are in great shape. The grips have silver S&W emblems.
The underside of the grips have the matching serial number "80755". The back strap and front strap are serrated.
The factory box for this model is included. The underside of the box is not marked with a serial number.
A screw driver and cleaning kit are included.
This revolver qualifies as a Curio and Relic and can ship where legally allowed.
This VERY NICE revolver would make a great addition to any historical firearms collection.
