The Smith & Wesson® Model 586-3 is an L-Frame, double-action revolver chambered in .357 magnum. The L-Frame Smith & Wesson is a "medium/heavy" frame specifically designed to hold up to prolonged use with full-power .357 magnum loads, as well as any .38 Special ammunition. The 586 features a 6-round cylinder; and a full-length lug under the barrel puts extra weight out front to reduce muzzle flip. The revolver is constructed of carbon steel, and has a traditional, deep Smith & Wesson blue finish. Checkered wood grip panels provide a secure and comfortable hold for enhanced shooting control. The single action, trigger pull on the 586 is light and crisp for precise shot placement; the double-action pull cycles the cylinder smoothly for rapid fire. The red-ramp, front sight is pinned into an integral sight ramp, and the white-outlined rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. The Smith & Wesson Model 586 Double-Action Revolver has great balance, handles smoothly, and delivers superb accuracy.
