DESCRIPTION
For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch revolver chambered in .45 ACP. Built on the classic N-frame and produced as part of the limited Thunder Ranch series, this exceptional collector-grade example is serial number TRR0205 and was factory test-fired during the first month of production in October 2005.
According to both the 3rd and 4th Editions of the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, production of the Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch began in October 2005, making this an early-production example. With an estimated production run of approximately 2,600 revolvers, the Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch remains one of Smith & Wesson’s most desirable modern limited-production revolvers.
It is offered as a complete factory package with its original box, accessories, paperwork, sealed factory test casing, and supporting production documentation.

CONDITION
Appears unfired beyond factory test firing.
Excellent original bluing with no holster wear, corrosion, or signs of misuse. Tight lockup, strong mechanical condition, and a bright, clean bore and chambers.  The factory/TR Logo Cocobolo grips are excellent.
For complete disclosure, two minor cosmetic marks are present:

• Small scratch on the underside of the barrel directly below the bore (see Photo 4)
• Minor scratch on the right side of the frame adjacent to the rear sight channel (see Photo 7 & enlarge)

Both marks are superficial, difficult to notice without close inspection, and do not detract from the revolver’s overall appearance or collector appeal.
A faint cylinder turn line from minimal handling is present (see Photo 7).
Carefully stored and exceptionally well preserved. Overall, this is an outstanding collector-grade example of the limited-production 4” blued Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch.
