SMITH & WESSON 44 CALIBER DOUBLE ACTION 1ST MODEL REVOLVER IN BOOK CASE
Description:
6 shot fluted cylinder double action revolver with 5 inch solid rib barrel with good marking. Very little finish remains on all metal. "S&W" monogram checkered hard rubber grips are in good condition. Matching serial number on backstrap and cylinder. Fitted in a book style case with red leather exterior and green corduroy lining. Label on outside of case reads "(?) A. Pegau Co. Automobile Necessities Omaha Neb." Case is worn but still makes for an attractive outfit. Includes a Vintage box of .44 S & W Russian Central Fire Cartridges. Box is in poor shape but I believe it still contains all 50 bullets. About 53,590 of these were made from 1881-1913. An interesting piece!
