EARLY, EXC 1st Model SMITH & WESSON .32 S&W Top Break HAMMERLESS Revolver 3-Digit “LEMON SQUEEZER” 1888!
Description: EARLY, EXC 1st Model SMITH & WESSON .32 S&W Top Break HAMMERLESS Revolver 3-Digit “LEMON SQUEEZER” 1888! Here we present a Smith & Wesson .32 Double Action Safety Hammerless 1st Model Revolver, made circa 1888 through 1902 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless models were produced from 1887 (1888 for the 32) to just before World War II. They were chambered in either .32 S&W with a 6-shot cylinder or .38 S&W with a five-shot cylinder. They were most often produced with a 2-inch, 3-inch, or 3.5-inch barrel. But, some 6" barreled versions are known to exist. This revolver was made to be a simple, compact and reliable firearm that one could carry in a pocket or a holster around the turn of the 20th Century. This revolver features an internal hammer design to remove risk of snagging or stopping the action. There is a grip safety built into the back of the grip frame. The frame is a top-break design that activates the automatic ejector. These are very nice features from the turn of the 20th Century! They were known as "The New Departure" to reflect the company's new approach to designing revolvers. The overall condition is excellent. The action is as strong as ever. The bore is shiny bright. Great nickel finish with blued accents and case colors on the trigger. The serial number is “765” and all numbers match. A fantastic example of one of the earliest of the Smith & Wesson Hammerless revolvers! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: .32 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1100 #20047 SOLD Antique: Yes |
