NICKEL & PEARL S&W 1st Model LADYSMITH .22 LONG Double Action C&R Revolver Scarce, EARLY SERIAL NUMBER
Description: NICKEL & PEARL S&W 1st Model LADYSMITH .22 LONG Double Action C&R Revolver Scarce, EARLY SERIAL NUMBER Here we present a Smith & Wesson First Model Ladysmith Revolver in .22 Rimfire Long (.22 S&W), made in Springfield, Massachusetts. Only 4,575 were made during the production run of 1902 through 1906. This model is significant as it was designed by Daniel B. Wesson himself and because it was the first .22 rimfire since the No. 1 Third Issue’s production ended two decades previously. Like the No. 1, the Ladysmith features 7 shots of .22 rimfire. Unlike the No. 1, the Ladysmith features a swingout cylinder with a star ejector as well as a double action trigger. Though tiny, it features a very usable steel frame and it is no wonder that ladies would have used this revolver for self-defense in the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties. S&W still uses this nomenclature in their marketing of small, concealable revolvers today! This little 7-shot .22 revolver is handsome with its nickel finish, case colored hammer and trigger, and solid mother-of-pearl grips. The overall condition is very good. Original nickel finish. Strong action. Bright and reflective bore. Both pearl grips are in very good shape. “337” numbers on the butt and cylinder. This example is a nice little Ladysmith revolver that would be a nice supplement to any early 20th century collection. A scarce and highly collectible Smith & Wesson Revolver! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3 inches. Caliber: .22 Long Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1235 #210651 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
