Cal. 38 Spl. S# S89715. 5" pinned barrel. Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on grip frame, bbl., cyl., extractor & right grip panel. Five screw 1952 made 38/44 Heavy Duty Revolver. Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered walnut grips with diamond center & silver S&W Unmarked black grip adapter present. Factory letter confirms the guns configuration & states it was part of a 2 gun shipment to W.A.L. Thompson Hardware in Topeka in 1952. Also included is a copy of the receipt for that shipment. CONDITION: grips show some light handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain strong amounts of their case colors with some fading & operational wear. Balance of metal retains 93% original blue with some edge wear, some light oxidation most notably on top of frame & drag line on cyl. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
