Here Ancestry Guns presents a Scarce Factory Cased Smith & Wesson Model 21-4 “Thunder Ranch” .44 Special Double Action Revolver manufactured circa 2004 to 2006 in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is one of just 2,600 of the “Thunder Ranch” wheelguns manufactured. Thunder Ranch in Lakeview, Oregon was founded in 1993 by Clint Smith, who is a Marine Corps Veteran and longtime Law Enforcement Officer. Throughout the years their goal has always been simple and consistent, which is to be a premier training facility dedicated to providing top-notch firearms and tactical training. Thunder Ranch has been at the forefront of innovative training since its inception.

This Smith & Wesson Model 21-4 “Thunder Ranch” Edition single/double action revolver is chambered in .44 S&W Special. It was introduced in 2004 as a special production run as a collaboration between Smith & Wesson and Clint Smith, the founder of the Thunder Ranch training facility, to revive the classic fixed-sight .44 Special N-frame revolver. This gun is one of approximately 2,600 units produced. It has a 4-inch tapered barrel along with a traditional fixed “gutter” rear sight and a pinned half-moon service front sight.

The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish, case colors, and gold Thunder Ranch emblem inlay. The action is excellent in both double and single action modes. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are smooth and solid. Comes with the original factory case and contents. A really nice, hardly fired, limited edition from Smith & Wesson!
