"Smith & Wesson 1st Model 1st Issue 2nd Type. Very rare gun! This is a three-digit serial number, 322. All numbers are matching. The number on the cylinder is faint but visible. The barrel has a light gray patina. Brass frame has a dark mustard color patina. Grips are excellent. Barrel markings are legible but faint. Action works properly. These early guns that are 1st models 1st issues and 2nd Type have the “bayonet" barrel latch. Very hard to find!
