Guns International #: 100884174
Seller's Inventory #: AH4333
Smith & Wesson Model 3 Schofield, 2nd Model U.S. Issue. ”U.S.” on butt. Grips have good cartouches, left side dated 1877. Excellent bore. Action works perfectly. Very good original blue. This fine U.S. Army Issue revolver has sharp clean metal with no pitting or abuse. Gun shows little or no evidence of firing. It has some patina from handling or holster wear but has very good original blue. There is a number “243” at the top of the backstrap. We do not know what this number means. Possibly a regimental issue or rack number? As Schofields go this is in the harder to find level of condition. Well cared for U.S. Schofield.
