Copy of a Smith & Wesson Double Action Frontier with original holster.
Description: Copy of a Smith & Wesson Double Action Frontier Mod. Chambered for .44-40 Win. Caliber. with original antique Wild West holster An early Belgium Copy of a Smith & Wesson Frontier First Model Double Action Revolver in .44 WCF (.44-40 Winchester cartridge). It is so marked on the left side of the frame. (W.C.F.) that stands for Winchester Center Fire. Also shows several proof marks on the back of the cylinder as well as more proof marks and the country of manufacture "BELGIUM", on the right side of the barrel. It has no serial number anywhere I can find. The barrel measures 6 inches and has a bright clean strongly rifled bore. This is a top-break, auto-eject, double action six shot revolver based on the S&W Patent Style. The action functions perfectly, strong hammer spring and lock-up is tight, single action also works well. There is very little pitting or rust on this nickel plated gun, with a smooth finish. The BONE grips and lanyard ring are interesting features. The grips are in very good condition with no cracks or chips likely a bunk house addition. You can find these advertised in the Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery catalogs of the 1880s. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first. The included holster is in very good using condition with fully alive leather no missing stitches. As you can see the trigger guard area has been cut to allow a faster draw. Payment: Item, can be ordered on line with a credit card or paypal on our sight. Just Google (riverjunction) and type in the River Junction Trade Co. item number (6822) in the search box. Before you checkout you will see shipping cost and total. OR If you prefer: Pay by cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks. We wait for checks to clear. We always answer questions and entertain offers. Have questions? Call me 563-880-4588. Jim SOLD |
