<<<<<SOLD>>>An intriguing revolver this Lucius Pond front loading revolver in .32 rim fire has a 4" octagonal barrel with ood bore with light surface corrosion,and is being sold as a projet or parts gun. Left side of barrel has markings of: MANUF'D FOR SMITH & WESSON and this is the rarest model! As seen in the photos the locking latch at the front of the frame below the barrel is not present. also the hamamer has a very strong mainspring, and doesn't catch unless the trigger is pushed and held forward, and chisel on front face of the color case hardend hammer is missing, but a chisel can be re-welded, asthis is a rim fire..vEry stroing readable barrel address with Pat'd date of 1860! This was a patent infringement and S&W had won the clurt case and Lucius Pond had to decisit from making any more of these revolvers.. The stud att eh base of the grip strap is a screw driver that unscrews from the frame for use. and that is present// Possibly this fine gun which has about 97% original factory nickle can be restored? The factory fitted Rosewood grips are very good with about all their original finish.Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
