ROARING 20s Prohibition-Era 32 S&W Pocket Revolver

Here we present a Smith & Wesson .32 Double Action Revolver, made circa 1916 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The .32 Double Action was an extremely high-quality .32 caliber pocket revolver premiered in 1880 for self-defense. It was a precursor to S&W’s larger framed .44 Double Action Revolver and every subsequent Smith & Wesson double action revolver. Along with the .38 S&W version, it was the company’s first top-break frame, auto-ejecting revolver. It made a great companion in the early 20th century, a time that included the Great War, violent labor strikes, racial tensions, gangsters, Prohibition and the Roaring 20s.

This specimen is an example of the 5th and final model of the revolver. This iteration was made from 1909 to 1919. It features a small frame, 32 S&W chambering, 5 shots, beautifully case colored hammer and trigger, a deep blue trigger guard and a nickel finish.

The overall condition is excellent. The case colors are vibrant, the blue is deep and shiny, the nickel is virtually complete and mirror-like. The markings are clear and legible. The grips and bore are in fine condition. The action is excellent, glassy smooth and masterfully crafted.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 3 inches in length.
