Nimschke Panel Scene Engraved Smith & Wesson #2 Old Army w/ Scarce 5" Barrel
Description:
Sold This is truly a special Smith and Wesson revolver, i’ve owned plenty of number two Old Armies and plenty other Smith and Wesson models and only one has exceeded this gun in my opinion. This example, many will not understand the true scarcity of what it is. This example shows about 96 to 98% original gold and silver wash finish on the entire revolver. The engraving was either done by the hand of L.D. Nimschke or of his shop. The original ivory grips are matching numbered to the gun. There is a beautiful panel scene on the left flat of the frame featuring a dog. The barrel measures 5 inches and is an extremely scarce barrel length for this model. From the overall gun it would be extremely difficult to find a 5 inch Smith & Wesson number 2 Old Army Revolver with this quality of engraving and this amount of original finish. This is truly an outstanding piece for your collection and investment quality. Formerly of the Dave Burghoff collection. Shipping is $25 plus actual insurance. Thank you!
