Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are made of either Rosewood or Walnut. They are in exceptional condition, with no chips, gouges or damage.

Bore Condition: Bore is very good to excellent.
Overall Condition: This revolver is in excellent condition with minor are related wear. The mechanics function flawlessly and it is a stunning piece of craftsmanship.

Our Assessment: This is a beautifully made and well preserved early Smith & Wesson revolver, dating from approx March of 1873. Considering the corrosive black powder used at the time, the cylinder and barrel bore is in exceptional condition. The grip panels are original and in excellent condition as well. The wear to the nickel is mostly confined to the cylinder and right side, leaving approximately 70%. The pistol appears to function flawlessly, but has not been test fired live. Pistol will come with a leather soft case. These are getting rarer as time goes, and in this condition, it is definitely a fine addition to any collection.
