S&W .32 Single Action Model 1 1/2 Revolver with Box
Description:
Serial #6958, .32 S&W, 3 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves.
This is a nice little revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, barrel, and latch.
The metal retains 60-70% of the original nickel finish with even, plum-brown freckling throughout; heaviest on the barrel and gripstraps.
The latch retains its original blue, and the hammer has muted, but still visible color case-hardening.
The checkered, hard rubber grips are in fine shape with some mild wear (mostly confined to the butt on the right panel) and very minor flattening of the points.
The lock-up is tight, and the action functions flawlessly.
The revolver is housed in its original one-piece red box that has extensive damage to the lid, and faint, but still legible matching number on the bottom.
Additionally, the revolver comes with a 2014 dated S&W Factory Letter that gives a shipping date of June 29, 1878 to M.W. Robinson Co. in New York City.
This is a nice spur-trigger Smith & Wesson, and rates very good condition overall.
