For your viewing is a early first or second S & W triple lock in 45 LC, 6 1/2” barrel. As the serial number is only four digits 25XX blue book states there were duplicate serial numbers between first and second models. The grips do have the monogram but seem to be maybe replaced. The interesting markings on the revolver is British markings on right side of the barrel, maybe a lend lease revolver from WW 1. Definettly, it has been reblued. It has a very good barrel, lots of case color on the hammer and trigger. A shooter for sure, but also a piece of history.
If you know about the British markings, i sure would like to know more about them.
