S&W - New Model No.3 - Rare 4" Barrel - .44 Russian.

Description:
Smith & Wesson, New Model No. 3, with a seldom found "Factory Original 4-inch Barrel" in .44 Russian.
The included Factory letter states serial #23892, was shipped from our factory on April 1, 1885 and delivered
to Meacham Arms Co. St. Louis, Mo. The revolver was shipped with a 4-inch barrel, blue finish
and black hard rubber grips.
The condition is good plus, in the original correct configuration. Frame & cylinder are a dark brown patina, with replaced wood grips.
This revolver was a part of my collection for a number of years. I'm sorry to see it go, but I
hope someone will enjoy it as much as I have.
