Here is what would appear to be a well worn antique S & W double action revolver. In spite of the heavy patinia,the frame locks tight,works well,and lock up of cylinder is decent for age.The screws are not buggered and grips have the right wear for a piece from the 1880,s.The chambers not bad and its 5 inch barrel is an even overall pitting; nowhere as bad as I have seen on many of these.My guess it might have been a buggy ,or wagon gun exposed somewhat to weather. It would be foolish to clean,as it would display well with Old West pieces.This is an antique meant for black powder,and I am selling for display and collecting only.Though legal to sell as an antique ( need photo I.D. ) ,not legal in California,many East Coast states and some Big Cities.
