Smith & Wesson Schofield .45 Western Revolver- 'US' Marked-with U.S.Marshal Badge

Nice original frontier Schofield from old Montana collection. This actually belonged to a U.S. Marshal from Billings, Mt. and comes with his Badge. ( Note- have seen these Badges go from $ 1,000 to over $ 2,000 alone!).
Good Nickel finish with average wear. Indexes well. Serial number 1863 of only 3,000 made!
'U.S.' marked on the Butt.
Original wood grips-grain appears a little different,but I am sure these are the grips that came with it!
Rare Western Gun favored by the likes of Jesse James, Billy The Kid , John Wesley Hardin, more.
