SMITH & WESSON SINGLE ACTION SECOND MODEL REVOLVER .38 S & W

Description:
Here we have an antique S & W that would be an entry level piece for a beginning collector,or wants examples of various models. But this is not a clunker that has been overpolished. It locks up tight on topstrap. Mechanical works well ( little wiggle on cyl. lockup ).Grips are decent.Bore has its rifling,but there is pitting,which I believe can be cleaned up some.There is nickel on this piece with some light cleaning on sides and cylinder has some roughness.With careful cleaning ( crosus cloth/roughe ) many a nickel piece can be improved. I sell my antique guns for collecting and display. If intending to use one must have a gunsmith check for safety and proper load.
