S & W 38/32 TERRIER ORIGINAL BOX AND LETTER
Description:
SOLD This is a very early 38/22 Terrier. It is equipped with a 1/2 moon front sight on the I frame and comes with the red box. According to the Smith letter it shipped from the factory on September 7, 1950 and was delivered to Jesse E. Harpe of Tampa, Florida. It has a 2" barrel, blue finish, and checked walnut round butt grips. Two guns were in the shipment. Along with the letter you will receive a copy of the original invoice. Bore in the two-inch-barrel is bright and shiny. It exhibits little use. No issues. A very high percentage of the original blue finish remains on the five screw frame. There is a very small area that has flaked just above the left side grip panel. There is also one minute area that has flaked on the front strap. It is hardly noticeable. Nice case color remains on the trigger and especially the hammer. Action is smooth and tight. Markings are clear, correct, and easy to see. Numbers match. Grips are excellent with a perfect and tight fit. They are still crisp and have a matching number. You will like this 38/32 Five screw Terrier. It is much better than most you see. It will make a great addition to your collection. Let me know if you would like more pictures. American Arms & Antiques item #2936.
