S&W M&P "Victory" model .38SPL German Police 4"
Description: Smith and Wesson .38 M&P “Victory” Model. Double action Revolver built on the square-butt K frame with five screws. V place in the serial prefix for “victory” against the axis powers in WWII. 4” barrel with good bore, six shot fluted cylinder. “P” “V” and “S” proof marks on the cylinder, as well as a “S” on the inside of the cylinder swing. Serial number marked “V 45843” note that the S prefix is not marked on the handle near the serial number. Marked with “U.S. Property”, although very faded because of the new finish. Refinished, including the grips, overall great shape. Also Note markings on the Backstrap stamped “WB-S-MAN”, it may be that WB-S stood for the Wurttemberg-Baden district - city police in the American Occupation Zone after WWII, MAN for the city of Mannheim.
