Description:
Smith & Wesson 1917 DA .45 serial #461xx. I've been collecting Smiths for 60 years and this is by far the best 1917 I've ever seen. This revolver retains fully 98% of the original factory bluing including the grip straps! The hammer and right side of the trigger retain 98% original case colors while the left side of the trigger retains about 30% toning to silver. The grips are a perfect factory fit retaining nearly alll the original factory varnish, but the left grip has a chip and a dent on the bottom edge. This gun never saw service and, if issued at all, was tucked away by the officer who received it. Shipping $50.
I have to let this beautiful sidearm go now, knowing it will be nearly impossible to replace.
